Here is what I have for my paternal roots which I found in a family bible typed out by my grandfather or father exactly as it appears:

Public Rocord Office of Ireland

Reigister of the Parish of Clonfert-Diocese of Clonfert.

Baptisms (The year 1829) Page -

Samuel, son of William Flanary and Anne, his wife,

was born 9th of November (1829) and christened-

29 the November 1829.

Reg. Nov. 29, 1829. by me David Seymour-Curate.

Being from Detroit, Michigan, USA, I have always been under the impression our roots were County Cork, ie. this Parish.  But is it really the Parish of Clonfert near Galway, and since there are three combined there, then which of the three?  If you can help me sort this out, I would be very grateful as I am visiting Ireland in September and wish to include a visit to  the 'seat of my soul".. Thank you!  Sharon Gardner

Why don't you call the parish secreatary and see if she can assist you? I would think that it would be the church in Clonfert.
