My Grandmother, Ann Teresa O'Connor was born in Cobh 27 April 1880 ( she was know as Teresa), her parents were Edmund O'Connor ( no birth date or where he was born, his occupaion was stonemason and I was told he helped to build St. Colman's Cathedral so he must have moved here). He was dead by the time Teresa was married in UK 9 July 1912. His wife was Maria O'Donoghue again no dates or places or when she died.

I did visit Cobh in 2011 and found two more children of this marriage Ellen O'Connor B. 27 August 1872 and Julia Mary O'Connor born 1882. I remember Teresa saying she was the one of seven sisters of which two went to the USA but I have no details

More details wouls be very helpful

I looked on Roots Ireland and did a 20 year search 1870-1890 in the Cobh RC records and only found three records: Ann Teresa in 1880, Julia Mary in 1882 and another Julia Mary in 1887. The National Library of Ireland is placing all RC parish registers online for free searching this Wednesday. The Cobh records are in the Diocese of Cobh. The records available start early but unfortunately end in 1880.

I also looked for a civil death index record for Edmund/Edmond O'Connor in the Midleton registration district which includes Queenstown (Cobh). There were no records in Midleton which leads me to believe they may have moved after 1887.
