Greetings,
My sister & wife & I are visiting the area in the 2nd week in September, 2016.
We are particularly interested in knowing of Catholic cemeteries in the area of Clonmult, Ballynoe (Ballynattin) & Conna.

We will br travelling thru these towns hoping to establish a link. On our O'KEEFFE side our GGGF was born in Clonmult, GGF born in Conna. Our GGGM was Catherine DOYLE also possibly from Clonmult, with a possible link to DINEEN/DINAN

I have only been able to isoloate some church & burial places so far - so would be grateful for an assist with this.

Many thanks,
Jock O'Keefe

  • Jock, Hope you found the O’Keeffe’s in Clonmult. We must be related because my great grandfather was Maurice Keeffe. He lived in the farmhouse where the battle of Clonmult took place. I hope to go there this year. I found a distant cousin , Jim O’Callaghan. He sent me photos of the area, and a memorial they built on the site. It is impressive. They named a well , called it the Keefe’s well. You should read about the ambush there.
