Not sure if my ancestry overlaps with what you have found or are looking for but the surnames McCarthy and Carey are part of my ancestry as I believe is Co. Cork .   My great grandmother was a Hannah Carey (DOB abt 1842), the daughter of Jeremiah Carey (thought to be from Co. Cork,) and Mary McCarthy, DOB  abt 1811 in Prior Parish, Co. Kerry (according to her gravestone herE in the USA). Mary McCarthy Carey's death certificate lists her parents as Denis and Julia McCarthy. Mary and Hannah came to the USA and settle in Connecticut (Hannah in 1857- not sure about her mother), not sure if Jeremiah did. Hannah married Michael Spellman (also believd to be from Co. Cork but no documents found yet that support that). If any of this looks familiar, I would b more than happyto compare notes

My grandmother, Katherine McCarthy was born June 11, 1885 to Patrick McCarthy and Annie Mahoney.  I have found records of Patrick and Annie’s marriage and records of their many children but cannot find Katherine’s birth record.  I believe the family was in Drishanemore.  Katherine came to the US about 1904 and died in childbirth in 1921.  I believe some of the names linked to her siblings are Collins, Sullivan and O’Brien.
