Looking for my Great Great Grandparents from Roscommon
Peter Sweeney and Ann Fox
I have no idea when they were born but they had at least four kids.
Mary - unknown
Margaret 1861- 1917 she went to U.S. and married James Finan
Thomas 1862 - 1944 he came to the U.S. and never married. His passport listed High Lake County Roscommon Ireland as his place of birth.
Anna 1870 - 1902 she also came to the U.S.
Margaret, Thomas and Anna were all buried in Cincinnati Ohio USA. They were born in Roscommon.

High Lake is also known as Ardlagheen More in Cloonygormican parish. You may want to join www.rootsireland.ie I went on the site and they do have a baptism for a Michael Sweeney born to Peter Sweeney in 1862. However, when I added Anne Fox the record went away which means that the mothers name was something different. In any event, you may have some success with the site.
I also looked up the 1855 Griffiths Evaluation data for Cloonygormican parish. Possibly, Peter was too young to be leasing land but there are two Sweenys listed.
