I am looking for any information or confirmation to the origins and emmigration of my Great Great Grandfather and Grandmother.
Names are David Goggin and Mary Ryle according to the information that I have.
David Goggin: Born June 22, 1842 (According to old notes I have, was born in Durres, Cork. Unknown when he left Ireland.
Mary Ryle-Goggin: Born Nov 3, 1847. (Kerry) Left Ireland in 1866 according to US Census in 1900.
Also looking to see if I still have relatives in Ireland. Not sure if David or Mary had siblings.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Todd,
If you go to www.irishgenealogy.ie you will find davids baptismal information there. the chances are that you will also find Mary Ryle.
Try looking for them also on www.castlegarden.org www.stevemoss.org www.genealogybranches.com

Hi Todd,
I had a look on genealogy.ie for you as Anne recomended and I found this http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/details/59b2070096043
It was an interesting one to find as Durrus is in the Muintervara parish but his record is listed as Carrigbui, which means yellow rock the old Irish name for Durrus.
Also have a look at the 1901 and 1911 cencus records, they show three Goggin families in Durrus in 1901 and two in 1911 but they are mostly older people.
I don't know of any Goggins in the area now but I will ask around.
I also had a look for Mary Ryle but there is only one showing up in 1847 and the date is different to yours, there could be many reasons for this.
