I have traced my great great great grandfather Robert Orchard to his birth in 1820 at Fermoy.He emigrated with his family to Australia.Could you tell me if there are any relatives still at Fermoy?Thanks heaps Di Hamlton

I checked the online Irish phone book (which is only a partial list of phone users) and there was one Orchard record but not close to Fermoy.
I went back to the 1911 census and there were very few Orchards in Co. Cork. Mostly a large family in Co. Cork.

What we don't know is if a female Orchard married and stayed in Ireland. Have you considered an autosomal DNA test?
