Hi, I would appreciate any information regarding my great great grandfather, Edward Noonan born c1824 in county Cork. He married Julia Cotter and later moved to England. Edward Noonan resided in Kilgarroff, co. Cork. until 1833. Edward had a son John Joseph Noonan who was my great grandfather who was born in England. I hit a brick wall for any info prior to 1824, Edward's parents etc....please email Rebecca1776@gmail.com if you have any info.

Hi Rebecca the only source of records for the period in question are Church Records as Civil Registration is only from 1864 in Ireland.
Do you have any idea where in Co Cork Edward came from as your posts indicate different locations.
You could look at www.irishgenealogy.ie a free site which has Baptism/Marriage records for Diocese of Cork & Ross and all the parishes there.
Kilgarroff is in Clonakilty Co Cork. There is a Census for Inchegeelagh in 1821 but doesnt include the surname Noonan - the name could also have the spelling Nunan.
