Any information on the above family name would be greatly appreciated, my info so far:
1st marriage in Scotland for Barnard Kilty to Jean Kelly 1802 Stoneykirk Wigtown
1841 census shows Barnard Kiltie and 2nd wife Elizabeth, Barnard Kilty Flax Dresser also Helen Smillie Dealer, Barnard and Helen born Ireland.
Barnard Kilty died in Stranraer Scotland 1855 age 86 therefore born around 1769 Parents: Bryan Kilty & Margaret Kilty nee Courtney.
The Kilty family had strong family ties to the Killops family, Killops family info:
James Killops & Elizabeth Killops nee Dougan marriage 4th November 1848 Inch Down
1740 Protestant Householders List: Bryan Kilty Kilbroney, Iveagh, Down.
