There are 200 McCarthys of whom 6 are in Durrus but none in Kilcrohane.

This is fantastic.  I didn't know about the phone book.  I will follow up with the leads.  Yes, Durrus is an alternative possibility for my McCarthy's as Ellen and Daniel were married in Muinterveraa.
