Someone involved with Ireland Reaching Out suggested I place this question on the Kildorrery site because the husband took over his wife's family farm in Kilcruaig, but his family was all from Meadstown. I hope it is all right to do that since I have already asked about two other families. Jeremiah Casey, born in Meadstown in 1870 to Patrick Casey and Mary Ryan, married Mary A. Gallagher, daughter of Thomas Gallagher and Mary Hogan in 1900. (This particular Gallagher family lived in Kilcruaig, Limerick, but they had come from Ballynoulty, Kildorrery, about 1800). Jeremiah and Mary had the following children: Patrick Casey 1901, Thomas Casey 1902, Hanna Casey 1903, Margaret Casey 1905, Jeremiah Casey 1906, Mary Casey 1908, and Michael Casey 1910 - all baptized in the RC parish of Glenroe and Ballyorgan. I understand Patrick and Michael became priests and served in Los Angeles, California. I am wondering if there are any Casey descendants who are still in the Meadstown area who might know more about the family of Jeremiah Casey and Mary A. Gallagher. Thank you very much.
