My great grandfather, Anthony Carroll, was born in Kildorrery on 2 Feb 1822.  He reported in the 1910 US census that came to America in 1846.  I am looking for his mother's first name.  She was an O'Mahoney, as spelled in his bible. Thank you.  Noreen

    Have you had a look at RootsIreland http://ifhf.rootsireland.ie/ web site?

    If you go to Co Cork you will find that there is just one Carroll/O'Mahoney marriage in the county in 1820, but not an Anthony. Was he known by another name before he went to the US?
