I am trying to find any information on my Great Grandmother & her family who I believe came from Kildorrery Co.Cork. I have very little information but believe she was born in 1827, she married a Dennis Whelan in 1848 & had seven children one of which was my Grandfather Michael Whelan born in 1860 at a place called Curraghgorm. I would be truly grateful for any help or to be pointed in the right direction. Thanks

Found the marriage record Denis Whelan &. Mary Lee in the Kildorrery Church records - 01-03-1848
Her parents were Christopher Lee. &. Catherine Lee from Labbamolagga in the Kildorrery parish
Her baptismal date was 24-05-1827 & her sponsors were Thomas Lee &. Ellen Lee
If you look in the Census of 1901 & 1911 you will see that there was a Michael Whelan family in Corragorm, I dont think they are there now if we find more info will pass it on. Best wishes with your research Lena

My Great-great grandfater was William Lee, born in Labmolaga Co. Cork in 1826. Thomas Lee and Bridget Kenedy were sponsors. I am looking for a DNA match to someone with links to the Labbamolaga Lees.
