Hi!
I am Bridget and John Power's grand daughter Tara. I am looking for their address in Killeagh in 1924 when my father was born. His name was also John Power. Thanks very much!

Welcome to ireland Reaching Out!
I located the likely marriage record for John and Bridget in 1922. Was her maiden name O'Keeffe? The record shows the names of the fathers of the bride and groom and that John was a mason. His address is shown as Clashmore and Bridget's was Killeagh (presumably the village). Marriages usually occurred in the bride's parish. There is no Clashmore townland in Killeagh parish and the two know Clashmores in Cork are a good distance away from Killeagh. Since he was a mason, possibly he moved around for work and met Bridget.
Civil birth record images are not available after 1915 because of Irish government privacy rules. So it is very hard to tell where they were living in 1924 other than the village of Killeagh.

Hi if Rogers record above is the correct one i believe they lived in Killeagh village. John Power was from Clashmore Co Waterford about 16 miles from Killeagh . See 1911 census record, house 19 Clashmore village John was 22 yrs old occupation Stone mason. His father John was also a stone mason . His grandmother Mgt Aherne also lived with the family.
See 1911 Census Killeagh village Co Cork . Hse 54 Bridget O Keeffe was 13 yrs on original census form . She lived with her widowed mother and other siblings. It appears Hse 54 was on Cork Rd in the village. The local volunteer may have more information on the family.
