I am a decendent of the family of Thomas Collins (1831-19--) and Mary McCarthy Collins (1846-19--) They were believed to have been married in St. Mary's Church, Kilmacabea, Cork on Feb 18, 1865, They lived out their lives in Kilfaughnabeg (Leap) and may have had 9 children of which I know 7: Hanora, Mary, Katherine, Margaret, John (my grandfather) Patrick and Bridget. Five of these emmigrated to the US and settled in and around Boston, MA. I'm interested in learning about prior generations and have much information on those who came to US.

  • Hi

    Thanks for your message.

I have forwarded your request to a volunteer who may be able to offer some advice.

Remember to post as much information as you can with regard to the people you are researching. The more information you post, the more likely it is that one of our volunteers will be able to advise or assist you. Also include information concerning which sources you may have already used so others may further your search.

Please be patient - as our programme has only begun to rollout across the island of Ireland and volunteers in some areas may not yet be organized.

    Kind regards,
