Seeking family history information on John Creedon, born 1813, convicted in Cork Assizes on 27 January 1832 to transportation to New South Wales for 7 years for stealing sugar. Death record shows that his parents were Bartholomew and Margaret Creedon. John was Roman Catholic and single at that time. His occupation was Blacksmith.

A John Daly was convicted at the same time and place for the same offence, so is likely to have been an accomplice and friend of John Creedon.

  • Hi Clare,

Yes, I did see the information from Col.

However, I cannot see how any of it can point to a Bartholomew Creedon who would be the father of a son John, born around 1813.

    So no luck so far.

    Thanks for asking.

    Tony
