I believe Michael Murphy and Abbey (Abbie) Murphy are my 2nd great grandparents. They were married in Kilmurry on Feb 11, 1834. Their daughter, Mary Murphy (b. 1857), is my great grandmother. Their names came from her death and marriage records here in Massachusetts, USA. I'm interested in any information about the family. I've found possible siblings to Mary -- Norry (b 1835), Mary (b 1837), and Patrick (b. 1846). Since there is a gap iin birth dates of children, wondering if there were more, and whether they stayed in the area. Thanks in advance for any help.

John:
Sorry, you did not get a reply.
I also looked at the church records on www.irishgenalogy.ie and found the same four baptismal records that you located. I would agree that there should be other records. The only thing you can do is scan the baptismal records on the parish register and see if you locate other family members.

Hi John,
Just came across your messages while browsing IrelandXO.
I have little or nothing to add but I also found a further Baptism mentioned that you may have found but ignored as it is out of the timeframe for the rest of the family. I believe that the baptism of Abigail Murphy of Michael Murphy is directly linked to your Murphy's through Abbey's Murphy line. Here is a link to the page. https://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/search.jsp?namefm…
If you have already found this entry and not pursued it for whatever reason, well and good but if you want to pursue it to find thge family link then let me know and I will try to help.
Sorry for taking so long but Kilmurry is outside my usual area but having found it thought I would try to help. Frank Fahy
