Searching for family/decendents of Daniel Leonard born about 1840, married Margaret Mary Donovan about 1860.

I believe they had 3 children, James William, Margaret Mary and Dennis.  I found a marriage record for Margaret Mary Leonard who married Daniel Sullivan, December 12, 1891; Freemount, Barony - Duhallow, Parish - Knocktemple.

Within this record:  Daniel Sullivan (groom) was 23, labourer from Coolbane, his father is Dennis Sullivan labourer; Margaret Leonard was 21, shop keeper from Freemount, her father was Daniel Leonard, shopkeeper.  Witnesses - Denis Leonard (brother?) and Mary O'Connor.

It appears that Margaret & Daniel left in 1892 for the US.  There are extensive records of the family in NYC and DNA links to my relatives.

However, my main search is for James William Leonard, my great grandfather.  According to Canadian 1901 census records, he lived/arrived in the US and had citizenship prior to moving to Cobden, Ontario (Upper Ottawa Valley) Canada in 1892.  In 1897 he met/married Margaret Regan.  They had 4 children (2 living) who were Margaret Mary and William James Leonard.

I'd really appreciate any support in finding links of James William to his parents Daniel & Margaret Mary and find his baptismal record (c1860-1870).

Thanks so much,

Linda Ballantyne
