I am trying to find out which parish my ancestor may have emigrated from.

He is William McMorrow

B. Ireland ~1788

emigrated to United States ~1805--struggling to find a record of this other than family lore

served in the War of 1812 for the United States as a private

Married Margaret Malloy (alt. spellings in some records) 10 January 1917 in Virginia, USA

In 1820 as well as 1830 he was residing in Pendleton, Virginia

In 1840 and 1850 he was residing in Lewis, Virginia

He died in 1858 in Elk, Braxton, Virginia, United States.

His children were

Job b. 1819

John William b. 1821

David Perry b. 1824

Rebecca b. 1826

Elizabeth b. 1832

Andrew b. 1836

Elizabeth b. 1837

Oliver b. 1839

Granville b. 1841

James Marshall (who I am descended through) b. 1841

I believe he was a tailor, though the record I have of this is not particularly definite and was in the US, not Ireland, so it may be of little use.

If anyone has any information on a possible parent, sibling, ship he left on, or a parish, I would greatly appreciate a nudge in the right direction.

Thanks!
