Searching for James REARDON1, the father b. c1824 and James REARDON2 his son b. between 1847 & 1851 IRE.
1861 census - James REARDON1 (aged 37) and Catherine (age 34) REARDON and children Patrick (age14), James2 (age 9), Catherine (age 5), Michael (age 2) and Daniel (age 2 months). Parents and first two children are born in Ireland, remainder of children born in Lambeth, SRY ENG. James REARDON1 b. c1824 says, on his son's birth cert. that he was born Dublin, IRE.
James REARDON2 (b. c1847/1851) married in Nov 1870 to Caroline Sophia BYFIELD at St Mary, Lambeth. He is of 'full age' and his father is named as James REARDON, both father and son noted as labourers on the marriage certificate.
1871 census - James and Caroline REARDON and son James are living 44 Wickham St, Lambeth, SRYENG.
Patrick (son of James REARDON1 & Catherine (UNKNOWN) says on his marr. cert. (Dec 1871) that his father is James REARDON1 (dead) and on the 1871 census he (Patrick) is married with two children - Sarah REARDON b. c1869 & John b. c1871. He marr. Sarah BOILEAU on 31 Dec 1871 in Lambeth.
So, it seems that James REARDON1 b. c1824 has died between the marriages of his two sons - Nov. 1870 & Dec. 1871 and that as he has been enumerated at Lambeth in two census it seems he maybe died there though I cannot locate his death on the Index.
James REARDON1 b. c1824 IRE m. Catherine UNKNOWN in IRE were in Lambeth SRY ENG for the 1861 census but not the 1851 census. Sons Patrick & James REARDON born in Ireland 1846 & c1847 - with a gap of 8 years to sister Catherine born in Lambeth in Dec qtr 1855, so the family moved to Lambeth between 1847 & 1855.
Hoping some help will be forthcoming as to the marriage of James REARDON and Catherine UNKNOWN and birth dates and places of sons Patrick & James REARDON.
Thanks,
Glenys

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
You don't mention anything in your note about Lisgoold parish in Co. Cork but you posted in that parish page. Do you have information that points to that parish?
