HI,
Against all odds this American traced her great grandfather to Macroom just before 1814. My great grandfather was Andrew Fitzgerald born to Andrew Fitzgerald and Margaret Callahan of Macroom. Andrew had a number of brothers and sisters: Judith(1808), Patrick(1811), Margaret(1814), Maurice(1816) and Michael(1823). Would love to find any information I could on the Fitzgeralds. Anyone out there recognize this family?

Hopefully others with Fitzgerald connections in the Macroom area will post comments. I did look at some prior Fitzgerald messages and found this message posted in Macroom. Possibly there is a connection.

A little further "drilling down" with the help of Griffith's valuation and I found that it looks like my Fitzgeralds lived in the townland of Kilnagurteen on the Massytown Road.
