Looking for any information on MURPHY and RING families from Macroom. Edmond Murphy and Mary Ring, married 23 Feb 1867 at the Parish of Kilnamartyra, sponsors: Denis Murphy and Patrick Ring. They were my 3rd great grandparents. Does the church have these records? How can I obtain a copy or further information?

Early RC parish registers often dont include father's name, but a civil record from the GRO should, along with occupations which also dont usually feature on RC records.
The likely match for Mary Ring and Edward/Edmond Murphy appears on the BMD Index - registration district Macroom, year 1867. volume 5 page 640
You can use the references to order a research cert costing €4 from the GRO

FamilySearch has an extract of the civil record, which includes some of the details from a civil record, but ommits the occupations, places of residence for the bride & groom, name of the priest & church, witnesses etc :
