Greetings, I saw this post: https://www.irelandxo.com/ireland/cork/mallow/message-board/donovanstac…; and replied this on it the other day:
Hello Anne Marie, David Stack & Catherine Donovan are my 2nd great-grandparents. I found the record of their marriage in the Roman Catholic Parish of St. Mary's, Cork City February 5, 1856. A Margaret Donovan was a witness. I also found baptismal records for 8 of their children, in Passage West, Carrigaline & Mallow. I am very interested in you mentioning David Stack's baptism Feb 29, 1839 in Mallow Cork to William Stack & Catherine Connell. I have been unable to find an image of this record. Is there a place I can view it? Could you see if you could find a marriage record for William Stack & Catherine Connell? Are there any possible siblings that David had? I would love to have an image of David Stack's baptism. Do you think William Stack was born in Mallow too? Or Catherine Connell?
Sincerely,
Rose Mary Willis-Cohen

Rose Mary:
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I located a baptism for David in Mallow on January 29, 1834 and you should be able to see the image here at the top right of the page. https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000634702#page/32/mode/1up
Here is a link to the Mallow parish register up to June 1881 https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0078
I searched the subscription site Roots Ireland and did not find a record for a marriage of William Stack and Catherine Connell.

Thank you Roger so much for sending me the link of David Stack's baptism. THank you for sending me the link to the Mallow parish register up to June 1881. I spend some time going thru the images, to see if any other baptism's show up for William Stack & Catherine Connell. According to an Ann Marie from Mallow, there was a baptism record for a David Stack in Mallow, February 29, 1839 to the same parents. I will have to go thru images, right? Thank you so very much for what you have sent me! Sincerely grateful, Rose Mary Willis-Cohen

Rose Mary:
I did not find the February 29, 1839 record and since 1839 was not a leap year there would not be a February 29th?
