Looking for any information about Cornelius Buckley, his spouse Ellen O Callaghan, and at least one child (my great grandfather) John Joseph Buckley, born about 1870 in Mallow, Cork. They emigrated to Boston, MA, USA about 1872. Any other info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Jayne,
Attached some pictures of Ballydaheen Mallow, where the Buckley family lived
The first picture is taken about 50 years ago but all the original houses were still there then, the second picture is Ballydaheen now, still not changed much.
The picture are taken from the bridge leading to Mallow town center, now adays everything around Ballydaheen is build up, at the time of the Buckley family living there there was farmland all around them.

The baptism of Cornelius Buckley took place on the 15 December 1844 in Mallow, his parents were James Buckley and mother Hanora Sullivan, their first born daughter was clearly named after her paternal grandmother
Children of Cornelius and Ellen were John (Col mentioned him already) and Hanora baptised on 19 November 1867 in Mallow, the family living in Ballydaheen Mallow.
In 1851 the parents of Cornelius, James Buckley and Hanora Sullivan lived at the address Gallow Hill Lane, just over the bridge from Ballydaheen on the town sideand rented a house of Richard Healy .
This map shows Ballydaheen in the bottom and Gallow Hill Lane over the bridge on the right.
