Through Ancestry.ca I found Michael Flannery and Bridget Carroll who are 2nd great grandparents who went to Canada some time before 1857 since that was the year my grandmother's mother was born in Montreal, Canada. I was told by relatives that they thought Bridget came from Cork but I don't have any other information. Based on her death record, she was born about 1823/1824. I have not been able to determine whether Michael and Bridget were married in Ireland and then moved to Canada or came individually or with their own families and met in Montreal. The only other thing that I find strange and don't know if it is helpful but the death record for the spouse of Michael Flannery shows her name as Bridget Kavanagh and the year of birth is based on her age when she died in 1904.
Sponsors for two of Michael and Bridget's children were Mary Flannery and Catherine Flannery but I am only guessing they might have been sisters of Michael.
Not sure what to do next. Thank you for any help or suggestions.

I just had a quick look to see what I could find, found no record of a marriage between Michael Flannery and Bridget Carroll but found a marriage for Michael and Bridget Cavanagh,
This marriage took place 10 September 1821 so very clear that this is not them.
There are 4 people with the name Bridget Carroll baptised in County Cork but only one in 1824 and none in 1823
Bridget Carroll, baptised 9 October 1824 Castletownroche Co.Cork, father Patrick Carroll, mother Johanna Donovan. Sponsors Bridget Carroll and Thomas McCarthy. This is if she was from Cork of course.
The name Michael Flannery is very common in Ireland, do you know when he died and how old he was at the time of his death?
Also where and when were their children baptised in Canada?

Was hoping to find out more about Bridget Kavanagh from the cemetery where she's buried but haven't heard back from them yet.
Michael Flannery died 21 December 1896 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada at age 75.

Phelata (baptism record shows Felicite) born 3 May 1857, baptised 10 May 1857 at Notre Dame Basilica, Montreal, Quebec
Michael - born 14 Jan 1859, baptised 23 Jan 1859 at Saint Patrick, Montreal, Quebec
William - born 9 July 1861, baptised 13 July 1861 at Saint Patrick, Montreal, Quebec and died 24 Feb 1862
William - born 20 Dec 1864, baptised 31 Dec 1864 at Saint Patrick, Montreal, Quebec
