John McMahon born in County Cork about 1812. Convicted in 1834 in  County Clair on the 25 Feb 1834 for abduction. Sentenced to Life and Transportation. Transported to Australia and arrived 14 Nov 1834. Aged about 22 at time of transportation and single. Transported on the Blenheim.

I have John's ancestry here in Oz back to his conviction dates but that is all.

Trying to find his parents, residence and ancestry lines both past and present, all help and suggestions considered with much gratitude

I checked www.irishgenealogy.ie which has some Co. Cork church records. No John McMahon records for 1812 but did find a baptismal record for 1810 in south Cork City. No idea if this is your John McMahon.
