  • Hi Greg

I'm afraid I couldn't find a birth/baptism record for Joseph Ross with father Joseph 1844 + - 10 years in Cork or any other county on either www.rootsireland.ie/ or www.irishgenealogy.ie/

The Tithe Applotments 1823-37 have 53 Rosses in Cork but no Josephs.

There are no Rosses in the 1841 Irish Census in Cork.

I suspect Ross may have Scottish origins so wonder if the northern counties may be more likely.

The Antrim to Fife public member tree on ancestry has a Joseph born abt 1840 with father Joseph from Fermanagh; Joseph junior married a Catherine Guthrie - any connection?

Also recorded as Cork, Ireland in census records 1871 and 1881.
