Hello,
My great great grandparents are Michael and Honora Creeden. The earliest valid information I have about them is the 1861 England census. They lived in Pearce's Alley, Old Brentford, Ealing, Middlesex, England. Michael was 42, Honore Creaden was 30, both born in Ireland, and in Cork on a later census. The children are all listed as being born in Brentford: John Creaden 5, Jeremiah Creaden 4, Ellen Creaden 11/12, Caroline Veen 9 (stepdaughter). The name transcribed as Caroline Veen is hard to decipher.
I have found a Griffith's Valuation with a Michael Creedon in Balleymakeery, Parish of Ballyvourney. Also an Honora Lynch next door. And an Eleanor Creedon next door as well as a forge rented by Michael and a smithy rented by a Daniel Creedon. And a Patrick Creedon. A family tree of a person I don't know gives Honora's maiden name as Lynch but I have no idea I'd this is accurate.
Also In Ballyvourney there was a Denis and a William Creedon in Langansalla, a Catherine in Cappagh West, an Honoria Creedon in Inchamore, a Jeremiah Creedon in Ullanes East, an Honoria Buckley in Coolavoher and an Honoria Hansen? in Bardinch.
An Honora Lynch was baptized in 1823, Roman Catholic, Ballyvourney. Father Dan. Lynch, mother Norry Lynch. But census and death records that I know are accurate give her birth dates as 1828-1831.
I don't have a marriage record for Michael and Honora which would clear things up. I also don't know how close these town lands are and if it means they're less likely to be related if they're in different town lands.
I have a baptism record for a Michael Creedon on 8 Sep 1822 Roman Catholic, Inchigeelagh Parish, Barony W Muskerry, Cork, Cork Co, Ireland F: William Creedan M: Mary Hurley. I have looked at Griffith's Valuations for Ichigeelagh Parish and found only a Jeremiah Creedon which was the name of this Michael Creedon's brother born in 1817.
Griffith's Valuations for Inchigeelagh show only a Jeremiah Creedon or possibly two. I found no Hurleys in Ballyvourney, but a few in Inchigeelagh/Iveleary in 1821.
I'd appreciate any help in sorting through these people and identifying if any are my ancestors. Thank-you!

Apologies for the long delay in getting back to you. Have you managed to find out any more about the above?
Best wishes

Hello Kathy
I have Michael and Hanora Creedon in my family tree as my great-great grandparents. I'm hoping they are the same people as I have been searching for place data in Ireland and have been stumped. I did not have them emigrating to England I have them residing in East Bloomfield, NY in the 1870 US Census. Here is an overview of my information. I would love to share more, let me know if you have any documents to share and any updates you have found.
