My ancestor's name is William Owens. This is the information I have on him so far, all from U.S.-based records:
William Owens, b. May 12, 1785, Co. Cork; d. December 30, 161, Louisa County, Iowa, USA.
Married Nancy Pollock (Abt 1794-1841) in 1811 or 1812 in Juniata, Pennsylvania, USA.
Nancy's father James Pollock (Abt 1762-1848) left Ireland in 1788.
Children: Ferguson Forgay (1813-1887), James B. (1816-1870), Sarah Ann (1821-1904), Daniel Scott (1826-1889), Robert (1829-1909), David (1831-1897), Joseph (1835- 1898), Jesse Stansbury (1837-1906)
Married Nancy Ann Blair (1794-1878) December 8, 1842, in Preble, Ohio, USA. I have a record source for this marriage.
I don't have his parents' names, but one very tentative piece of info is that his mother's maiden name was Forgay.
Thank you in advance for any possible insight or research tip!

Hi Lisa
Here is the only Cork birth/baptism record I could find for Owens in Cork 1785 + - 10 years on ww.rootsireland.ie/ (subscription site)
A possible sibling of William's perhaps?
www.rirshgenealogy.ie/ has a lot of Cork records & is free
