Mary Donovan /Donevan / Hedges was transported to Sydney on board the transport ship "Brothers", arriving 04 February 1827. She was aged 20, (born abt. 1807) single and Roman Catholic. She is recorded as being a House Girl, and was convicted of "House Robbery". Her "Native Place" is recorded as "Cork". The trial was in Cork on 26 March 1826 and Mary was sentenced to 7 years. She had no prior convictions. I cannot find a transcript of the Court proceedings, nor can I find the names of her parents. She lived, married, had a large family and died in Australia in 1880. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Wendy
There is a baptism record of Mary Donovan 1806 Cork on www.rootsireland.ie/
http://ifhf.rootsireland.ie/quis.php?page=1&confirmPageView=Y
Looks like there are some court records for Mary Donovan on findmypastireland.ie
Both theses sites charge to view the records.
