  • Hi Frank

    There are 2 records of births/baptisms of James Dunn 1810 + - 1 year on www.rootsireland.ie/

The only marraige records of James Dunn and Ann Megher are 1846 Wicklow (one Dunn the other Dunne)

There is a record of a Marianne Dunn with parents John & Ann 1841 Wicklow but nothing for William or Francis.

You need to purchase credit to view the full reocrd on rootsireland. The record will have the parish and MAYBE the parents' names.

  • I was looking on ancestry.ca and found some on James Dunn born 1810 Ireland wife Ann Meagher, son William Joseph Dunn born Wicklow 1847-1910. Wife Marie Theresa Shaw 1846-1921 son Francis J. Dunn born 1850 Cork, Ireland died December 17, 1933 in Toronto at 83. His wife Anna Louise Shaw born  Feb 10, 1857 Ireland died Jan. 17 1917. Francis and Anna's son James Joseph Dunn born Dec. 14 1881 died 1962 in Toronto. There is also a picture of James Dunn 1810 gravestone and a picture of the Dunn farm. Not sure if you belong to ancestry but this is what I found.

  • Hi Frank

    Thanks for your email.

Both Dunn & Dunne - Meagher marriages were in Hacketstown RC parish. (You can go through the parishes by clicking on the magnifying glass at the end of the record on www.rootsireland.ie/).

I guess you can assume that Ann was from there if not both of them.

If you purchase the birth records on www.rootsireland.ie/ they should have the parish in which James & Ann were born.
