Looking for information on Timothy O'Regan supposedly born in 1822 in County Cork, Ireland. He was married to either Mary O'Horrigan or Mary Hartnell. They immigrated to the United States in 1851. I don't have any more information than the above, until they reached the states in New Orleans, Louisiana. Any information that can be added would be greatly appreciated.

I searched on Roots Ireland and www.irishgenealogy.ie and could not find a marriage for a Timothy Regan/O'Regan to either a Hartnell or a O'Horrigan. It si likely the name was Horrigan or Horgan rather than Hartnell. There are many Timothy Regan baptismal records in Cork in the 1820s so without knowing his parents names, there is no way to confirm any records located.
Do you have death records or obits? Have you considered autosomal DNA testing?

This is all I could find in my US search that had a possiblility of being the Timothy you were looking for. See the attached file with two US Census record information. Hopefully the links will work for you. The Timothy listed as living in New Orleans could very well have been the offspring of the Timothy you were looking for.
