Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I will alert our parish liaison in Mitchelstown about your message. You may want to provide more info regarding Timothy and Maryann. When were they born, marriage date. Do you have their parents names? Thanks!

In response to your query, I could not find any Timothy Barrett married to Mary Anne , but did find a Thomas Barrett married to Mary Anne Mahony in Feb 1846 in Mitchelstown. A Mary Mahony born in 1823 had Timothy as a father however. A Sally Archdeacon would appear was a baptismal sponsor to both Thomas ( born in 1820) and Mary, which is quite strange.
They could have lived on the one street.
I have my own logic and theories on the name difference, which could be addressed privately. To help investigate this issue , could you possibly name their children in order of birth and any other information you may have. I presume all were born abroad as no children seemed to have been baptised here in my home town of Mitchelstown and it's environs based on my own Irish Clan Search records

Thank you for the information you have provided.
This is all I know:
- Mary BARRATT (my great grandmother - and that is how she spelt her maiden name on her son's marriage certificate) married Timothy TOOMEY
- Thomas Patrick Toomey their son, was born in New Zealand 1908
I was trying to find out about my grandmother, but it may not be possible.
I think Timothy Toomey a Labourer may have come from Co. Cork. In which case I will place a message in the Parish of Cork also.
