Hi,
Thank you for your message.
Do you have any other information you could share? Can you share:
- Forenames of the couple
- Parent's/sibling's names
- Children's names
- Religious denomination
- Occupations
- Emigration-did they emigrate? If so whay do you know about their emigration?
The more information you post the more likley it is that one of our volunteers will be able to help you.
Have you found the 1836 marriage cert? This may give you some information. As well as the names of the couple, sometimes these certificates can also include residences, occupations and father's names.
Most Catholic records are held locally. One website which may be helpful, however, is the irishtimes. Here, they give an overview of what records are available in specific parishes. For Murragh parish, follow this link:
If they followed the Church of Ireland, check http://ireland.anglican.org/about/42 and http://www.nationalarchives.ie/.
You could also try searching the Griffith's Valuation. This was a property valuation survey carried out in Ireland between 1848 and 1864. Although it does not contain any genealogical information, it can be used to tie a person to a specific place. As there are no survivng census records in Ireland prior to 1901, it can be a valuable source of information. To search the Valuation go to the following website:
http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/
If the family remained in Ireland, you may be able to find record of their descendents in the Census records of 1901 and 1911. http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search/
Some other websites which may be helpful are:
The National Archives of Ireland http://www.nationalarchives.ie/genealogy1/genealogy-records/introduction/
The National Library of Ireland http://www.nli.ie/en/family-history-introduction.aspx
Family Search: https://familysearch.org/

I hope that this helps. Remember to post as much information as you can with regard to the people you are researching. The more information you post, the more likely it is that one of our volunteers will be able to advise or assist you. Also include information concerning which sources you may have already used so others may further your search.
Kind regards,
