My GG-Grandfather was John Walsh and is listed in Griffith's Valuation in the Parish of Templemolaga, the townland of Graigue in 1851. John Walsh married Honora Cummins in the Church of Kildorrery Parish on 18 Feb. 1840 and the witnesses were David Walsh and Denis Lyne. I noticed in Griffiths Valuation that John Walsh and David Walsh lived next to each other and am wondering if there is any way of finding out if they are brothers or possibly cousins? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I think it will be difficult to positively prove that John and David are related. Roots Ireland has the baptismal records for Kildorrery RC church but they only go back to 1824 and it appears that John and David were born prior to 1824. I did locate an 1834 marriage record in Kildorrery on Roots for a David Walsh but don't know if the record is for the David that you are looking for.
Roots is a pay site to view a transcription of a church record.
I also looked at the 1901 census for Graigue townland and there were two Walsh families. One headed by a John and the other by a David. Very likely they are related to the John and David that you are researching. When I get a chance I will look for their civil marriage index records. You could also search on Roots for their baptismal records.
