I believe my husband's paternal line originated in Whitechurch, Blarney Co Cork:

1.  Michael Wall (b@ 1770) I believe in Co Cork  married Mary Finn (Fynn) who may have been born 1768 to "jacobi" (?James?)  Fynn and Mary Sullivan baptized in St Mary's Cork City

  2. Michael Wall (b 12 Dec 1790 and baptized in St Mary's Cork City)  Married Mary Coleman 4 Feb 1813 in Whitechurch,  Blarney, Co Cork.  They had 4 known children: Patrick (14 Mar 1817), Catherine (1821), Bridget (1829), John (1832).  I believe all these children were baptized in the parish of Blarney, Co Cork

      3. Patrick Wall (b 14 Mar 1817)  according to his US application for Naturalization, this is his dob and he was born in Whitechurch, Co Cork. and arrived in Boston 15 Aug 1845. Patrick married Mary Hickey 6 Jun 1847 in the Dorchester section of Boston. They had 6 known children: Mary Ann (1848), Ellen M (1849), Michael (1851),Timothy (1853), Honora (1855) and a stillborn daughter (1861)

         4.  Michael Wall (b 2 Jun 1851 Boston) married Bridget Coyne (b Mar 1854 Boston) 21 Oct 1874 in Dorchester section of Boston. In 1910 census Bridget stated she had borne 10 children/8 still living;  but I have only found 9 children: Thomas Henry (b 1875); Patrick (aka Parker) (b Oct 1876), Mary A (1878), George (b 1880), William R (b1883), Margaret L (b 1887), Frances (b 1889), Joseph A (b 1892),Katherine (b 1894)   

.               5.  Patrick (Parker) Wall (b Oct 1876) is my husband's paternal grandfather

    The baptismal records for Blarney/Whitechurch RC parish start in February 1821 (except for some records in 1791-1792)  https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0020   So Michael's baptismal record would not be available. The subscription site Roots Ireland has the records for Catherine, Bridget and John. See below. You may want to scan the register to see if there were other children between 1821 and 1829.

  • We are hoping to travel to Ireland September 2023 and will pass through Whitechurch/Blarney.  Hoping someone could help find a record of where Michael Wall and his family might have lived in Whitechurch. (see above information)
