Hi, my GGgrandparents John Cleary & Hannah (Lynch) Cleary, had 10 children & resided in the house behind the Culmore Artillery Fort. They were the keepers of the Beacon, & the men transported folks across the Foyle River, before the bridge was built. 3 sons, James, John, & Patrick, went to Escanaba, Michigan around the 1870's. I have found all of these descendents. Now I am looking for the women & their families that stayed behind. My Ancestry.com site has lots of photos, documents, & stories: Cleary-O'Hara's 2008. Interesting is that they traveled to the Catholic Parish in Iskaheen for marriages & baptisms, which are recorded there. Other family names are Dougherty, Lynch, Mossen, Gillespie, etc.. I also understand there is a small cemetery near the home where some Cleary's are buried. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks.
