I hope to visit the townland of my grandmother, Ellen O'Donnell, born 5 Apr 1875 in Magheralahan, Clonmany, Co Donegal in two weeks, mid-March. I also have references to Magheranaul. Is Magheralahan and Magheranaul one and the same place? What are does Clonmany cover geographically? I leave for Ireland from Boston on the 13th of March. Any and all assistance will be much appreciated. Thank you.

Magheranaul is in the Isle of Doagh and Magheralahan is at Staths - both in Clonmany Parish and a few miles apart.
When you come to Clonmany, maybe you could email me and we can arrange to meet and I could show you where both places are. I am doing a little work on your family now for you, and I would be able to show you the exact house that your grandmother was born in using land records.
