Looking for the McFeeter's family who emigrated to Canada.
Charles McFeeter's son Samuel married Mary Wasson and emigrated to Canada, settling in Ross Township, Renfrew County, Ontario Canada.
Samuel and Mary had a daughter Anne Jane who married William Livingstone.

This information is correct.......... NameSamuel Mcfeeters Birth Date 1836 Birthplace Derry, Ireland Age 25 Spouse's NameMary Ann Mclianan Spouse's Birth Date 1839 Spouse's Birthplace Cavan, Ireland Spouse's Age 22 Event Date 04 Jan 1861 Event Place Lanark, Ontario Father's Name Samuel Mcfeeters Mother's NameMary Wasson
Samuel McFeeters born 1836 (son of Samuel McFeeters and Mary Wasson). He married Mary Ann McLennon in Perth, Lanark Co, Ontario, Canada. If he was born in Derry, then I assume the family moved from Conwal Co Donegal?
I was hoping to glean info of Samuel's father Samuel Sr, and his grandfather Charles.
Much thanks.

Sorry Elwin, I forgot dates.
Samuel McFeeters emigrated to Canada in 1846, with his wife Mary Wasson, and two children (William and Samuel Jr).
They were married in Ireland, but he remarried here in Canada to a Annie (McCue) Bailey in 1903.

It’s only about 15 miles from Conwal to Derry. Many people moved there for work. (Indeed they still do so today).
You don’t say what denomination the family were. If RC or Church of Ireland then sadly they have no records for Conwal before the 1870s. However if Presbyterian, then Letterkenny 1st & Letterkenny 2nd Presbyterian church both have records from the 1820s. Copies held in PRONI (the public record office) in Belfast.
According to one source (Bill McAfee) McFeeters is a rare variant of the more common McFetridge. Possibly wise to search under that spelling too. Only McFeeters I can see in the 1831 census of Co Derry was Joseph in Ballygroll and John in Ballyartan.

Yes, Church of Ireland.... Wish I had taken this on, when the older relatives were still alive. I'm afraid they weren't very good at record keeping. I guess just too busy, eeking out a living on a farm in Canada. Thanks for your help.
