William Storey (ca. 1806-1891) was born in Letterkenny, Ireland. In the middle of the 19th century ca. 1847-1848 he immigrated to Canada with his wife Fanny (ca. 1811-1899) and their six children and settled in McKillop Township, Ont.
Francis Laird was born March 27, 1808 in Letterkenny, County Donegal, Ireland. She was baptized the same day at Parish Tullyaighnish Church Of Ireland and her parents listed in the parish record were Joseph Laird and Fanny. I am trying to find William's parents, or any siblings, or any information at all. This is all the info I have on them.
I have been working on this family tree but have stopped at William. I have heard that before Ireland, the Storey family came from Scotland. If you have any information you would like to share or can help fill in the blanks, please email Cori Chaney ( a descendant of this line) through cori.c@mail.com.

Hi,
I found these people in the Letterekenny area in the 1901 Census - I know that the census records are a little late for you but they may be descendants of the same family you are researching.
And in the 1911 Census
I will also ask around int he Letterkenny area to see if there are any descendants of those familys living in the are now.
Also you should contact the Library in Letterkenny? They are very helpful and may have access to other records. This is their web address - http://www.donegallibrary.ie/
There is also a website for Donegal called - Donegal Genealogy Resources
This website contains some really good info on each parish.
I hope this helps.
