I have hit a dead end researching my great and great great parents. 

My Grandfather Robert Joseph Caldwell was born on 16 November 1864 in Killygordon.  He emigrated to Australia some time before 1888 and died in Tasmania in 1905.

His Parents were:

James Caldwell Born 10 June 1825 Donaghmore, Tyrone, Ireland

Maria Sproule Born 20 December 1833 Camus, Tyrone, Ireland

They were married in Castlederg in1857.

My grandfather Robert was apparently a member of the Orange Lodge before emigrating.

 

This is the extent of the knowledge.  Any help/guidance on where to look next would be greatly appreciated.

    There is a record of the marruage of James Caldwell and Maria Sproule 1857 on www.rootsireland.ie

    It is a pay site so the record will cost (40% off at the moment). Then record will have the parents, names and the parish so you/we could keep working back.
