need help to tracecharles mooney possibly born letterkenny about 1879 to1882.parents could be charles mooney and bridget freil no other information as finding great difficulty in getting anything on above thanks james.

my grandfather born between1879 and 1882.letterkenny area was a farmers son. dad died about 1908in Donegal county,moved to Scotland,married the manze Glasgow in 1917 to my grandmother edith pattison. livedat 26udston rows Hamilton Glasgow at the time .unusualthing is were both catholic but married in protesant church.

You posted a message on November 7th indicating that Charles was born in 1866 in the Rathmullan area. The current message shows birth 1879-1882 around Letterkenny. I assume you have new information about Charles.
Since you indicated that the father Charles did not die until 1908, I checked the 1901 census and found a Charles Mooney family with wife Bridget and there was a son Charles age 13 which would mean an 1887-1888 year of birth. Checking the 1911 census, the father Charles had died which would track with your 1908 death.
Could this be the family you are looking for?
