Hi, I am hoping to find any information on my g/grandparents x 2 ,Andrew Campbell & Mary Ann nee Love .I know they had James, born 1849 in Ballyederlan, and George born 1856, North Ireland,(on death printout) who both emigrated to New Zealand in 1874. On the immigration documents James & George were listed as Farm labourers so I would say their father Andrew would be the same. I have found no mention of Andrew's name in Griffiths valuations etc, so probably Andrew was also a farm labourer.

The townland is Ballyederlan in Killaghtee coivil parish in southwest Co. Donegal. The RC parish is Killaghtee in the Diocese of Raphoe. It does not appear that there records are online. However, on July 8th the National Library of Ireland will be placing all RC parish registers online for free searching. Here are the records available. Note there are two gaps.
Killaghtee Baptisms Jan. 12, 1845 - Apr. 18, 1847 P.4601 Oct. 10, 1850 - 0ct. 9, 1853 July 26, 1857 - Nov. 24, 1880 Marriages Sept. 30, 1857 - Nov. 7, 1880
The 1858 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Killaghtee parish shows two Campbells but no Andrew and the Campbells were not in Ballyederlan. http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths/donegal/killaghtee.htm

From what I have read, they were Presbyterians.
