Thank you Elmer.                                                                                                                                                            Is there a difference between just a Parish and a Civil Parish, does this have to do with the Denomination of the people in that Parish?  If so, what would the dominate religion in the area.                                                               Kind Regards  Jan McGill

There is a difference between the religious parishes and the civil parishes.  Here are two links that show the differences.

Buncrana is in Desertegney in the religious one and Fahan Lower in the civil one.
