I am researching my family history from Donegal County in Ireland.

I am trying to find out how and when my ancestors came over to America.  The last know origins is my grandfather (Cecil John O’Boyle)  coming from Sault St. Marie, Michigan to Royal Oak, Michigan.

 

I am looking for his parents place of origin from Donegal County, Clan of Boyle

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out! 

    It may be difficult to determine where your family came from in Donegal.Was Cecil John born in Ireland? Do you know his parents names? Another factor is that RC parish records for Co. Donegal generally start around 1860 and there are many O'Boyle/Boyle families. Please advise.
