I would appreciate any information on my great-great grandfather, Peter McGlinchey. Peter was born in County Donegal in 1829 and emigrated to U.S. in 1851 or 1831. His mother, Grace Duffy and his father, Peter McGlinchey were born 1795-1800. My great-great grandfather Peter married Anna Markey in Wilmington, Delaware in 1855. Peter 's sister, Margaret McGlinchey married James Conahan and they also settled in Wilmington, Delaware. I would like to learn of Peter's townland and parish. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I looked at Roots Ireland www.rootsireland.ie but could not locate an 1829 baptismal record for Peter McGlinchey. I also looked at the 1858 Griffiths Valuation data for a Peter McGlinchey (the father) with no success. Below is a good website for researching in Co. Donegal.
