HI I trying too trace information on my irish ancestry connection My gggrandmother Susan Scanlin was an irish orphan who was sent from Liverpool to Sydney australia on the Champion in Nov 1840 with her three sisters. Her parents were listed as deceased when they arrived here and were said to be from Donegal Ireland .I have been trying to locate her parents deaths and related family and their children births with no sucess.

I am trying to find information on a James Scanlon who married a Mary Byrnes my GGGranmother was susan Scanlon she arrived here with here sisters, Rose, Mary & Ellen. I am unsure if there are any son or further children to this union. I am wondering if anyone may have possibly come across this family in their research I would love to hear from you. Susan was abt 10 when she arrived, Mary was 12yrs, Ellen was abt 2 or 3 yrs and Rose 12mths old at the time of their arrival.

Would love any help with this part of my research the story has really touched my heart because it appears that not long after arriving the three youngest sisters had died leaving just my gggrandmother. It would be interesting too learn wheather they had any other siblings brothers perhaps that may have been seperated from their sisters onto another boat and how they made their journey from Ireland too Liverpool is a mystery as well but a sad story indeed

Thanks looking forward too hearing from someone who could help shed some light on this side of my family tree

Cheers

Donna
