Looking for ancestors of Charles Sproul born in July 1828 in Gentiles, Inishkeel, Donegal, Ireland. He immigrated to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA in 1849. He married Mary Ann Darragh (born 1835 in Pennsylvania) in 1865. They had seven children in 23 years. He died on January 1, 1911, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,USA. Mary Ann's Parent's James and Eliza J Darragh (born about 1815) immigrated from Ireland.
The tinniest help would be appreciated.

Do you belong to Ancestry.com? I found the death record for Charles ( All Pennsylvania death records from 1906-1964 are on Ancestry). His parents were John Sproule and Jane Hanlon. I searched on Roots Ireland and did not find John but located an 1830 record for an Amerlia Sprowle with parents John Sprowle and Jane Hanlon. The reocrd was in the Ardara Church of Ireland parish.
Any possibility that Amelia was a sister to Charles? Gortnamucklagh is in Inishkeel civil parish.

Thank you for getting back to me. Yes, I'm on Ancestry. com.
I believe you nailed it! Jane Hanlon and John Sproul are listed as parents of Charles Sproul's death certificate. I didn't quite believe the death certificate because the parents are often incorrect. The Church of Ireland matches also because of them being protestant. I will enter them in as possible parents and Amerlia Sprowle as a possible sister.
