Great to join such a good web site. My Great Grandfather William Carson, born 1864 in BallyShannon lived in Dunmuckrun, Donegal from about 1895 to 1917. His wife was Anne Ellis born in Kinlough, Co Letrim. They had three chidren that survived childhood, William Carson born 1884, Bridget Carson born 1892, and Joseph Carson Born 1894 and died in WW1. Bridget Carson was my grandmother, and emigrated to Netw York in 1909, and then returned to England in 1919 and married my grandfather Kenneth Horne.
I have been to Ballyshannon once and loved Donegal, but have never been able to trace any living relatives in Ireland. Would like to reach out to anyone who may have further details.

Hi I to am searching Carson family. M Great Grandfather was Robert James CArson born may 1888 in Ballyshannon. His mother was Ellen Clugston Lyon who is also impossible to find anything on. My Grandfather was Robert Donald Carson but was born here in Canada. I am sure Robert James was in the police force. I have a William Carson as Roberts father born 1857 but not one hundred percent sure
