I am looking for any information on the Carlin and McLaughlin families from Letterkenny. My G-G-G-G-Grandfather Charles McLaughlin was transported to Australia as a convict in 1831. Eleven years later his wife Ann m/s Carlin travelled to Australia as a Bounty immigrant, With her were her 2 sons James and William and 4 daughters Julia, Catherine, Bridget and Ann. Charles parents were James McLaughlin and Mary McFadden and Anns parents were William Carlin and Julia Hegarty. Any info would be wonderful. Thanks Maureen.
